Emotions

This photo was one of my favorite photos because
it tells a lot about the picture just by looking at it.
In this photo you can tell she is either homeless or poor,
and she obviously isn't happy. Her health isn't good either,
which can be part of the reason why she isn't happy.
I chose this picture basically because you can
read the story just by looking at the picture.

Set Up The Picture

This is setting up the picture,
all you have to do is organize the people to
where you want them so the picture looks good.

Use Flash Outdoors

This is using the flash outdoors.
It is supposed to get rid of the shadows.

Move In Close

The is an example of moving in close.
Basically you just walk toward the object and get a close up picture.

Know Your Flashes Range

There are times when you should use your flash,
When it is dark, or the lighting is bad you
can use your flash to make the subject of the picture is visible.

Rule of thirds

Rule of thirds is basically putting the main subject in the corner of the Picture.
Doing this allows you to know more of what is going on in the Picture.

Blurred backgroud

In this photo I am using the blur technique.
Using this technique basically allows you to focus on
main subject of the photo.

Vertical

This is an example of vertical photo.
Using this technique is good when you want to get more then
just the object in the picture, to tell more of a story.

Get on eye level

This is the 1st technique: Get on eye level.
Using eye level allows you to be able to feel the
emotion that someone else is putting out.

Good background

This Picture is using the 2nd technique: having a good background.
Using a good background allows you to just focus on the subject of the picture.

This is an assignment that we did this week, we had to walk around and take pictures using the technique that we were taught. One of the techniques I used was Rule of Thirds; this is when you put the main object or person in the corner of your picture.

What is Photojournalism?

In this photo it is obvious that to young man are
mourning over someone that was really close to them.

Photojournalism is a job that can take up a majority of your life. Being a photojournalist you have to do many things that could be dangerous. If there is a huge fire, or an earthquake you are the one that goes out of captures pictures of the event so you can show that world what is going on. Photojournalism is different then photography because in photography you can take pictures of almost anything and in photojournalism you are taking pictures of life events that are going on in the world today. There are many responsibilities of being a photojournalist, the main responsibility of this job is always being willing to work at any time of the day or night, and you are the one that choses what to show the world. This job is different from any other job because you are never really for, you have to be available anytime. Being a photojournalist you have a lot of power over the world because you can pretty much make anyone believe what you are telling them by the picture you take and edit.
